<p> Lincoln has nine cases in Sangamon Circuit Court. <name type='case'>Hackney v. Boyle & Co</name>. and <name type='case'>Bishop v. Hinton</name> are dismissed on his motion, and <name type='case'>Hampton v. Wadkins</name> is dismissed by agreement. <name type='case'>Dement v. Reynolds</name> is continued. <name type='case'>People v. Smith</name> is set for hearing on 19th and <name type='case'>Thompson Campbell v. Lyman Trumbull</name> is stricken
from docket. Lincoln appears for plaintiffs in first three cases and for defendants in
others. In <name type='case'>Alexander v. Brown</name>, assumpsit,
Lincoln, for defendant, is ordered on plaintiff's motion to answer on March 18, 1847.
<name type='case'>Springfield v. Nathaniel Hay</name>, appeal, Lincoln
for defense, is dismissed by agreement, defendant paying Circuit Court costs, plaintiff

<p> Lincoln has four cases in Circuit Court. In <name type='case'>Williams and Loose v. Spotswood</name> his client defaults and
plaintiffs are awarded $87.37 damages. <name type='case'>Early v.
Bradford et al.</name>, petition for dower, is dismissed by agreement, Lincoln
& Herndon representing complainant. In <name type='case'>Duryee
v. Dikeman Lincoln & Herndon</name> obtain rule on plaintiff to file security
for costs.<name type='case'>People v. Thomas Sudduth et al.</name>,
Lincoln for defense, is tried by jury, which finds Sudduth guilty and fines him $3.

and Lincoln win <name type='case'>Nathaniel Hay v. Bryant et al.</name>
when defendants default. In <name type='case'>Michael Thompson and wife
v. John B. Broadwell et al.</name>, defense attorneys, Lincoln, Herndon, and Logan,
