Lincoln confers with F. B. Carpenter in White House study. Judge Advocate General Joseph Holt calls and remains most of morning. In afternoon several cabinet members visit Lincoln. At 3 P.M. President and Carpenter walk to M. B. Brady's studio. Several photographs made, including one later used on $5 bill. Carpenter, Six Months, 32; Frederick H.
