Lincoln appeals to Jesse Pickrell, asking him and his sons to get out as good vote for Palmer as possible. To P. Q. Harrison, defendant in Harrison murder case, he writes encouragement. "A young man, before the enemy has learned to watch him, can do more than any other. Pitch in and try. Palmer is good and true, and deserves the best vote we can give him."
