Resolution is offered directing Committee on Mileage to report abuses and inquire whether Greeley's article amounts to allegation of fraud. Lincoln calls for division of resolution into two, which is ordered. First resolution is adopted without roll call; second passes, 101-43, Lincoln voting nay.Globe.
