[A debit of $2.93, carried over from the Lincoln & Stuart account, is applied to Lincoln's solo account with a Springfield merchant. The merchant credits Lincoln's account with $62.50 for "Profit & Loss", and Lincoln remits $2.93, settling the Lincoln & Stuart account.
